Premier Sports Rugby League World Cup price: £18.99 monthly, but budget £37.98
Premier Sports costs £18.99 on its flexible plan. Compare UK options and see why full RLWC 2026 coverage may require two monthly payments.
Premier Sports advertises its flexible plan at £18.99 a month. However, a UK viewer who wants every match from the opening game through the 2026 Rugby League World Cup finals should cautiously budget for two payments, or £37.98.
Do not confuse the flexible plan with the advertised £13.99 monthly option. That has a minimum 12-month term, making the total commitment £167.88. Premier Sports also offers a £130 upfront annual subscription.

Can one £18.99 payment cover the whole World Cup?
It may not, so check the billing date and access period shown at checkout.
The tournament opens with Australia against New Zealand on 15 October. The men’s and women’s finals are on 15 November, with the wheelchair final on 13 November. The official RLWC draw announcement confirms those dates.
That makes the tournament 31 calendar days from its first day to its last. A flexible subscription activated for the opener could therefore reach its next billing date on the day of the final.
Premier Sports says the flexible plan requires 30 days’ cancellation notice. Its subscription terms say a subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 30 days before the next billing date.
For access from the opening match through the final, the cautious budget is therefore £37.98. One payment might be enough only if the confirmed access period runs beyond the final’s UK broadcast time. A viewer interested only in England starts with England v Tonga on 17 October, but should still check whether one billing period lasts through 15 November.
The £13.99 plan is not a cheaper World Cup-only pass. Its £167.88 minimum commitment exceeds both the £130 upfront annual option and two £18.99 flexible payments.
What does the subscription include?
Premier Sports holds the exclusive UK and Ireland rights. Its guaranteed live RLWC 2026 coverage comprises:
- all 18 matches in the men’s World Cup;
- every England match in the women’s tournament;
- every England match in the wheelchair tournament; and
- both semi-finals and the final in each of the women’s and wheelchair competitions.
International Rugby League says additional women’s and wheelchair matches may be shown if scheduling allows. The deal therefore guarantees the complete men’s tournament, but not every match across all three competitions. The IRL broadcast announcement sets out the rights package.

Is the World Cup on free-to-air television in the UK?
No free-to-air UK simulcast had been announced by 25 September 2026. Premier Sports’ rights were described by both the broadcaster and IRL as exclusive.
The pay-TV decision drew criticism because the previous World Cup was carried by the BBC. IRL chair Troy Grant said the BBC had been invited to tender and argued that the governing body could not continue staging World Cups without a commercial return, according to his reported response to the criticism.
For a new customer interested only in RLWC 2026, the relevant direct option is the £18.99 flexible plan, with £37.98 as the safe full-tournament budget. Existing Amazon or Virgin customers can compare their add-on prices, but should check those platforms’ separate billing and cancellation terms.
