Spartan Sporting Goods have become the official football supplier to the Hurricanes Rugby League, having agreed to supply custom made footballs for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

Spartan are an Australian based company that specialises in rugby league balls and protective equipment. Former St George Dragons and Penrith Panthers player Graeme Bradley who now acts as General Manager for Spartan commented “Spartan is keen to assist in the growth of Rugby League in Jamaica and look forward to assisting the Hurricanes”.

Hurricanes General Manager Roy Calvert stated “The partnership with Spartan further highlights the growing appeal of the Hurricanes brand. We have seen considerable interest from within Jamaica and also globally and it is wonderful to be able to partner with a reputable brand such as Spartan. We look forward to developing our working relationship over the coming years and will utilise the custom made footballs for our own training programs, along with providing high schools that play rugby league with footballs also. We understand the impact we can have upon the Jamaican rugby league landscape and by entering into partnerships such as this one with Spartan it not only continues our exposure, but provides valuable resources to the various levels of the game throughout Jamaica”.
