On a hot summers day the Czechs took on Germany in Olomouc in the 2009 European Shield. Having been heavily defeated in the annual clash two year running the Czechs wanted to make amends. The Germans were caught napping 10 minutes in and from there the Czechs had the initiative running away with their first international win. They beat Germany 30-4. The European Shield is an annual Tri-Nations in Europe one level below the European Cup. The 2009 instalment had the Czech republic, Germany and Italy taking part. So enjoy the highlights

    Nice brawl early on in the game. whos the one they call jimmy? for germany? very fleet footed, scores a great try. How big was the crowd dru? Did they get a couple hundred?

      Jimmy Keinhorst, he is easily Germanys Best player, plays either Hooker of in the half back position. He has many stints in england in the conference leagues and I think even played in Aus ofr the QLD reds academy for a few months in Union.

      The crowd was a bit over 200.
