Howard had the luxury of including ten players who have been capped previously at this level along with a senior international in the form of Joe Taylor.

Taylor made appearances in all three of Ireland’s Alitalia Cup Campaign last October and will be hoping to continue to impress in Widnes.

Speaking on the unveiling of the squad Howard thanked the members of the train on squad for their hard work.

“I would also like to thank Portarlington for allowing the squad to make the club its base during the trial period and all training sessions.”

The team will train again this weekend as they prepare for the tough weekend of rugby which faces them.
