Serbian Domestic and University Championships

The latest results from the Serbian season have come in. After several years of expansion the Serbian championships are now split into two tiers of four teams each. These are divisions based on the quality of the teams. So Division 1 is the top tier and division 2 hs some of the teams that are still building up their skills. I believe it is a promotion and relegation system they have now. With round one under way now the results in division 1 are; Dorcol 60-6 Radnicki, Red Star 6-12 Tsar Lazar. The table is:

Team P W D L B PD Pt
1 Dorcol 1 1 0 0 0 54 2
2 Tzar Lazar 1 1 0 0 0 6 2
3 Red Star 1 0 0 1 0 -6 0
4 Radnicki 1 0 0 1 0 -54 0

Division 2 results are; Morava  6-64 Nis, Soko 14-36 Stari Grad. A round 3 game has also been played in advance Morava 0-32 Soko. The table is:

Team P W D L B PD Pt
1 Nis 1 1 0 0 0 58 2
2 Stari Grad 1 1 0 0 0 22 2
3 Soko 2 1 0 1 0 10 2
4 Morava 2 0 0 2 0 -90 0

Finally in the University Championships some of the postponed matches from last year group rounds were played. The round 3 game between Philosophy and Military saw the Philosophers win 28-4 and in a 5th round match Organisational beat transport 34-4. Two more matches are left to play, a round 4 game between the Political and Philosophy faculties and a 5th round match between Political and Military. The table stands as:

Team P W D L B PD Pt
1 Philosophy 4 3 0 0 1 94 6
2 Organisational 5 2 1 1 1 28 5
3 Military 4 1 0 2 1 -6 2
4 Transport 5 1 0 3 1 -108 2
5 Political 4 0 1 1 1 -8 1

The semi finals will be played on the 13th of April and the final on 19th of April.
