Rugby league returned with a bang this weekend. The Super League kicked off with a bang when Cardiff hosted the Millenium Magic. The Elite 1 continues with round 15 and the Copa Italia in Italy kicked off with their first game. The Jamaican University Championships have begun and to round things off the next round off, the next instalment of the Bank of Beirut Championships from Lebanon.
The Jamaican University Championships have kicked off the last two weekends with round 1 games: GC Foster 14-16 University West Indies and Mico 8-40 University Technology. Round 2 saw GC Foster 36-30 University Technology and University West Indies 58-10 Mico. The table stands as:

The French Elite 1 had round 15 played out. Carcassonne 16-20 Limoux UTC 35-46 Lezignan which sees the Sangliers powering on. Villeneuve 23-20 Avignion. I have not been able to get any results yet for the St Gaudens/Toulouse v Carpentras and Pia v Montpellier. The table is:

The first game of the Copa Italia was played on the weekend with games played in Umbria. There were two games played with Grifoni 36 – 26 Etruschi and the return match Etruschi 38 – 36 Grifon. So the Aggregate is Grifoni 72 – 64 Etruschi.
Round 9 of the BoB championships was played on the weekend with LAU 50-0 AUB, AUST 4-48 Wolves, Jounieh v USJ was postponed and Balamand had the Bye

Huddersfield 28-18 Warrington, Catalans 04-11 Harlequins, Castleford 40-20 Wakefield, St Helens 16-16 Wigan, Crusaders 42-12 Salford, Bradford v Leeds and Hull FC 22-34 Hll KR.
