Cook Islands defeated by the Australian Affiliated states.

The Australian Affiliated States beat the Cook Islands President XIII 38-20. It was a close encounter between the two teams all the way but it was the fitness of the Australians that saw them edged out the Cook Islands President XIII in the last quarter to score some very good tries. Cook Islands had their chances to score and win the game but drop passes and poor defense around the ruck costs them the game.

Australia led 20-10 in the first half. The two teams will meet again on Thursday at Arorangi for the 2nd and final test before the Aussies head back home Friday morning. This will be a chance for the Cook Islands President XIII to level the test series or will the Australians be too strong for the Cooks.
