Festival of World Cups

By Daniel Andruczyk

2013 is shaping up to be a huge year for Rugby League internationally. Not only do we have the first grade world cup for the men, but there are five other world cups being played as well: Women’s, Wheelchair, Students, Armed Forces and Police Forces. Though there is a website (see here) it seems that they get a small showing on the various media outlets and as always we down play them. So here is a summary so far of the five other Rugby League World Cups being played in 2013!

    Welcome back dru.

The local TV stations down here in the Gong (Prime and Win TV) have actually been very good so far with updates on the womens wc. During little news breaks they have mentioned the scores will giving the girls plenty of exposure during the local news, I’m quite shocked really, but well done all round.

That is good to hear. Its been very sketchy everywhere else. The Aussie print media from what I can see has left it untouched, the Brits have a little bit on the BBC website. Still need to promote it more… I’ll slowly get things updated on this site eventually.
