Thanks for the wrap up Druzik. Seems Italy is underway with the Rival competition anyways. Its a shame those players can not play for the national team! Same with the USARL players…it’d be good if BOTH organisations would come together and do whats best for the national team! The USARL however (in my opinion) seem to be doing a better job organising things then the AMNRL.

Also good to hear results from Russia (Ukraine) and New Zealand. Also good win by the English academy over the French too.

Have heard that the USARL have an East v West 9’s event planned for late August, maybe in Texas. The OC Outlaws are also looking at a Westcoast 9’s in mid-September. Great ideas to promote the game of rugby league, especially by developing areas.

Some very interesting comments being posted on the AMNRL site (and suprisingly they have not been removed which is good).

There were many complaints that comments were being removed. However its clear to see that there many people from both camps in there. Some very good comments and observations in there.

Even as an old lefty this hit me emotionally “But now, I play for the toughest team in the Nation. And won a national championship. I served in the Army Infantry and was deployed many times. Why am I not qualified?
I just want to play for my country again.”

Also i’ve worked out the key connection between all the BSers who promise the world and deliver nowt – long rants without paragraphs! Tell me i’m wrong.

Fair does to the AMNRL for letting people comment in some detail, lets be generous and assume deleted comments were abusive. Lets just hope David has been reading and wakess up because you can sense the bitterness becoming deep rooted

    • druzik says:

I did see that… at the 9s a couple of the players expressed similar sentiments.

Janner its not my place to say anything on the rants – people can only make their own judgement I guess.

in the end as i have had people from both sides tell me, everything will come out and one way or another it will be resolved by next year.

  5. Interested Observer says:

Janner, I saw a couple of the comments before they were deleted and there was nothing offensive in them at all. They merely asked questions about the AMNRL teams/running of the comp. They were not rude or inappropriate in any way.
