RLIS TV – Italy vs. Germany 2008 – European Shield Game 1 Highlights

By Daniel Andruczyk

This week on Rugby League International Scores TV, highlights of game 1 from the 2008 European Shield tournament. This was played on a beautiful Friday evening in Padua, Italy. The game was part of an overall weekend of Rugby league with not only the Euro Shield game, but also a BARLA v Isle de France game as well as a whole weekend of the Simone Franchini 9’s. Italy fielded largely a team full of heritage players from Australia and England with 5 local players. Germany had the polar opposite with all largely German players with only 5 heritage ones. It was a fairly one sided affair in the end with the Italians being very dominant. However it was still a great night of Rugby League. Richard Lewis the Super League boss and head of the RLEF flew in for the match, it was the eve of the Challenge Cup Quarters as well so was great to see him make the effort. Italy won the match 58-26. So enjoy the Highlights Package.

Very good daniel but where are the european games from 2010?

    • druzik says:

I was not in Europe this year… thus I did not film any games… but go on the RLEF website and they have highlights from all of the 2010 games.

Plus if you notice… aside from the Atlantic Cup games, I am doing things in Chrnological order, of sorts.

  2. C.T.SANDERS says:

That site is hopeless. There’s no games from last years 4 nations.

    • druzik says:

Why should they have them? They have nothing to do with the 4 nations, they don’t have the rights to any of the videos. The ELEF only put up what the RLEF has filmed and have the copyright to.

I think you like to have a whine for the sake of it sometimes Chris.
