Yes you are right in that Brirmingham City is bigger than Manchester City, but I was told and read the Manchester area is the second biggest so all the surrounding places in Manchester county or something… no? Anyway that is what everyone talk me and when I read up in various books they said that… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester

Yes I went Virgin rail… how dodgy that is I don’t know, but it took about 5 hours.

Sorry dru but Manchester is NOT the second largest population centre in England. Ever heard of Birmingham? You must also have been on the dodgiest train service in the UK if it took you five hours to get to Manchester from Euston. I live a similar distance from King’s Cross, which is a stone’s throw from Euston, and it takes less than three hours by rail.

I am sure there are many good pubs and better than the ones I went to, Its just they are the ones I went to so am writing on my experiences… plus those pubs tended to be where all the Rugby League fans hung out.

Yes will eventually do Padua… will go round Europe First I think UK then FRance then Italy germany and Czech, Baltic states and then Scandinavia.

The Duke is a good pub but they now have a thing for plastic pints
The Mitre around the corner is much better in my personal opinion.

I used to live in Padova and even saw a game of league there! Cracking city and nice folk… on the whole.

Interesting blog topic!
I imagine you will be doing one for Padova as well (“Home of Italian RL”)! Food being great Id assume.

If you went to the RLWC ranking game in Rockhampton (Tonga V Scotland), that could also of been an interesting one haha, being the Beef Capital of Australia.

And soon to be home of a CQ NRL club

Also having one of the highest home crowd attendances last season in the QCup.
