Thanks, I still have lots to work on in my delivery, have had some good constructive feedback from people which is good. Last weeks show could have been handled better though.

I think he retired this year, but yes he initially did play RL. Italian RL in the last 5 years got a kick from his brother Simone Franchini, who played in Australia for a while and fell in love with the game. He took it back to Itlay and got a few clubs started but was then killed tragically in a car accident. So they started the annual Simone Franchini 9s tournamenst which has grown to be one of the big 9s tournaments in Europe. When I was there in 2008 they had 14 teams playing from 4 different counties, Italy, England, Germany, France. BARLA sent their U21 teams and Germany sent bad Reichenhall.

They also have the Internationals around that weekend, so it ends up being a 3-4 day rugby League feast.

MADAGASCAR IS NOT A WASTE OF MONEY AT ALL.RUGBY IS WELL ESTABLISHED THERE WITH CROWDS OF OVER 40,000 FOR INTERNATIONALS AND THEY AVERAGE 8000 FOR CLUB GAMES.MADAGASCAR WAS SUPPOSE TO PLAY ITALY IN A INTERNATIONAL RL MATCH LAST MONTH.RL WAS BIG IN MADAGASCAR IN THE 50'S AND 60'S NO DIFFERENT FROM ITALY WHERE RL WAS ONCE BIG AS WELL.HOWEVER,WHAT IS A WASTE OF MONEY IS THE MONEY WASTED ON THE NSWPREMIER LEAGUE COMPETITION.
FINALLY.IF I WAS THE BOSS OF AUCKLAND RUGBY LEAGUE LIKE I SHOULD BE I WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION IN SENDING A AUCKLAND DEVELOPMENT 13 TO BOTH SOUTH AFRICA AND MADAGASCAR.

Why?

October is when the SAf domestic season starts. Teams are tourning now there, BARLA are sending teams, these are giving them good exposure and then the Rhinos will play in the Atlantic Cup agaisnt the USA and Jamaica which should be a good playing level for them at the moment.

Why Madagascar... there is no RL there at the moment. There amy be one day but if there is no interest or people dont even know of it then I am not sure what you expect to make of it. It would be a waste of money.

Matches, tours and tournaments need to be a balanced mixture of pleying established nations and emerging nations. Fisrt get someone to start RL in Madagascar, get it going for a coupel years and thgen start to get teams to tour or play there... build it up for tournaments.

This is being done by Indonesia, Singapore, Canada and other nations.
