I know its not a popular view for some, but if you start taking away opportunities for the local comps and communities to improve then ultimately the local competition die. You dont want to Monopolise things you want to have competition between competitions. Ultimately something like another NZ or PNG bid would have monwy goinginto the NRL and not them and would be stacked with Aussies. I think its a much better incentive to have the teams come through a knockout comp and let all teams have a chance to compete against the best... its a much better incentive.

Agree with all you have said - but you know im going to say that with exemption to NZ. If they had another team in NZ then maybe the younger guys would stay in NZ instead of coming to Aus where they have more chance of a breakthrough with the other 15 clubs compared to the 1 they have in NZ atm.

Disagree about PNG. They need a side. It would be mad for a RL mad nation of nearly 7m people not to have a side. Would pack out every week and would make the national side a lot stronger.

I'd also relocate the Sharks to Perth.

Druzik, i mentioned on the other blog, to bottle this idea up and send it to whoever it mat concern. Now if it was me, i would not send it to Gallop or Colin Love, maybe the Titans boss Seale. He seems to be the mover shaker around the place now.
I agree with nearly all of it, and as for NZ, it will take time, but they seem to be headed in this direction .
And PNG, if they do enter the comp, we are doomed. They need incentives, so your idea gives them this, plus keeps their local comp strong. Send the ideas to someone, if you can,. At least plant the seed, if you have not already. Origin at years end, great, pre season, ripper all teams included, and 20 rounds with local derbies, tribally perfect. Cheers.

Cheers Joel,

I think its the best solution to having all the proposed Australian team in.

As I said PNG and NZ need to develop their own competitions, invest in the locals.

Sorry.

Its not that I dont want NZ to be strong... but for me i feel that they should try and get their local comp professionalised and have a competition for our competition.

Agree with that, especially CQ in the comp! Wouldn't mind seeing NT with Cowboys, with games being played at NQ and NT either.
